Tying the fabrics in four variations so that each dyed piece is unique.

Once i tie the pieces up they are immersed for a minimum of 24 hours to saturate the color. Stir gently!
Untie
Here is my favorite part, untying all the strings. This is where I surprise myself with the results.

Ancient Shibori folding produces rhythmic and patterned designs in the resist and blocking of the dye bath. Mine are made at the beach and rinsed in salt water for fixing the dyes.
